This photo was taken at the THPRD Nature Park. I was struggling to get the right balance of aperture, ISO, and white balance as this was my first outdoor shooting experience with my new camera. I liked the composition and perspective on this one, and playing around with the colors in Lightroom really made it pop and give it texture.
The texture on this tree branch, between the bark and the various mosses, caught my eye. I would love to shoot these subjects with a marcro lens someday. Maybe that will be my next gear purchase…after a flash.
With this shot, I was just trying to capture the perspective angle, the repetition of pattern, and the contrast between the stones and the moss.
